Name some elements that keep you playing a game. Maybe pacing that makes you think it's a sin to put down the remote, or maybe the way everything's drawn or designed. Or maybe some innovative new tool or way of playing.
Go in to nice detail...
Me? I'm all for achievements. I don't die peacefully if I don't unlock everything in a game I took the time to beat.

I play my games for 2, sometimes 3, reasons: story, genre, or my friends suggest it.
Metroid, Halo, pokemon? love'em. but sports and minigame collections really aren't my thingl

Replayability. Bioshock took me about 2 days to beat, and the entire fun was the scariness and the plot twists. I'm starting to think it would have made a better horror movie (by M. Night Shamalan, of course) than a video game. The scariness wore off, and the plot twists were revealed. Elder Scrolls: Oblivion... I'v had it since it came out, and I'm still playing it. I'v got 14 characters, 13 of which have completed the game, and are max level, with every single skill maxed out. Halo 2 and CoD4: Online Multiplayer...the Online multiplayer just hooked me. I don't know why their multiplayer was any different from Halo 3 or any other games, it was just better for some reason. Guitar Hero...It's like listening to music, actively. It's got alot of my favorite songs, so instead of using my 150 dollar iPod, I use my 500 dollar Wii (I bought it during the YOU CANT FIND A WII! Era [last october] so I ended up buying a bundle that had two of the games I wanted [twilight princess and Red Steel] and two games I traded in [ NFS carbon and Farcry] and an extra remote and the wii and stuff for 500 dollars]..and plus I just got a wireless router so I can play online now.

I play games for the story and the AI. with a poor story its easy to forget why you are playing the game. With the help of good AI it helps the game offer a unique experience every time you pick up the game

It has to be epic. Without being epic, theres no thrill in playing the game.

I liek to have a role play game with lots of alternate lives, and possibly ending.

I like games that include LIVE people actually talking to you like aqworlds or pokemon wi-fi. In most games when you are just against the cpu you don't have to think , but when you are against or with someone in a game who is a live person you must think. In other words gameplay changes plenty when you actually have to think. ;D

I find that games that keep you guessing and keeps you adrenaline going makes me want to keep playing em', Midnight Club 3...best.customizing/dubbing.game.EVAH. So...yeah, I keep at the game until I have found all of the bugs and/or have beaten it.
