In all of the previous AE games Upgrades have worked the same way. You pay 20 bucks and get complete access to the game, get better items, better skills etc. And this upgrade was forever. But free players also got enough stuff inorder to hapily play the game.
But I think of it differently in AQW. The upgrade is 20 bucks for only 3 months of being a member. If it would be 5 bucks im sure more people would pay and AE could probably make more money.... The ammount of advantages that members have are reasonable, only I do think that even free players should be allowed the Second Tier armors...
What do you guys think?

here, $20 bucks for 3 months, even thogh rs is worse its like $5 to upgrade for a month, so 4 months RS is 3 AQW. however its $60 a year for a full RS year and $54.99 for a fu,ll AQW year and 59.99 + 5000 so cost efective go for 1 year.

Like zuan noted, it's cost effective for a year.
I'll be getting the 3 month upgrade soon because I can want to try out the founder features before making a full commitment. MMOs aren't usually my thing, but AQ is what got into computer games and AQW is new so I'm not coming in to 9 million people who all yell at me.
Back to the upgrade, give it a shot. 20 bucks is a small fortune for me but i've been with AEs games since before DF so I trust them to not make me regret my purchase.

The prices are ridiculous I think... A year's purchase is comparable to a year of RuneScape membership, and it doesn't give nearly as much. Sure, the game just came out, but that's not a good enough excuse. There's just not enough to do, all AE games seem to be exclusively based on farming, and they generally get boring. In RuneScape, a game I played and paid for for years, you get -a lot- for your money. There are hundreds of quests, there's a large amount of much better weapons and armor, you get more than twice the available skills, you get to journey across the whole map... I mean, playing RuneScape for -free- gets you more than paying for AQW.
Bah.

I think the prices are okay. But if i upgrade and put on member items and armor people will thin k i'm showing off and i will feel like i'm look down on them as noobs. I don't want that to happen, so i don't know what to do

I dislike having to pay for access to the the weapons and armor that are actually good, but I have no choice if I am to run a clan.
